Historical Hike

Kevin Hodges, MACP

From July, 2021 through December, 2022 I worked for a small medical startup as the Executive Health Coach. My job consisted of coaching clients on behavior change specifically curated for them by a clinical team and based on extensive testing. I also served as the Chief Operations Officer for the company from September, 2021 through December, 2022. I transitioned back to my private coaching practice in January, 2023.

I moved to Seattle in 2002 to study at the Seattle School of Theology and Psychology. I received both a Master's in Counseling Psychology and a certificate in Domestic Violence Advocacy in 2007.

I started my professional career in mental health at a psychiatric hospital and spent over a decade working with youth, adolescent and adult patients. I was an instructor for Non-violent Crisis Intervention in both the hospital and community settings during this time. For the final three years, I served as the Supervisor for the two alternative schools the hospital ran and served as a liaison to Lake Washington School District as a mental health professional.

In 2013, I was an adjunct professor in City University's graduate program for counseling psychology.

I transitioned out of the mental health field to help raise my two young sons in 2012. After a brief stint as a full-time stay-at-home dad, I received my certification from the National Association of Sports Medicine (2014) and began personal training in the private sector. In 2015, I contracted with EXOS Sports Performance and expanded my personal training to corporate gyms at both Nintendo and Google.
